National Parks Partnerships seeks new Chief Executive as Naomi Conway steps down

National Parks Partnerships (NPP) is seeking a new Chief Executive as the current Director, Naomi Conway, steps down after more than eight years with the company.

The incoming Chief Executive will lead strategy and operations for NPP which is a team of twelve that harnesses the power and value of the National Parks UK brand through sector-leading partnerships. The NPP Board is seeking candidates with leadership skills backed with commercial acumen, and a passion for supporting the UK’s National Parks to deliver impact for people and nature.

The recruitment search is being conducted by Berwick Partners and details for applicants can be found here.

Conway was the first employee of NPP in 2016, tasked with creating a commercial and corporate partnerships structure to benefit the UK’s 15 National Parks. She has overseen the growth in NPP’s team and partnerships programme, including work with global brands such as Santander UK, BMW UK, Columbia Sportswear and Estée Lauder Companies UK and Ireland. In 2020, Conway helped to establish Revere, an award-winning collaboration with Palladium that aims to restore nature across the National Parks through attracting private finance at scale. She departs to a new role to be announced later this year.

Cat Hawkins, Chair NPP says ‘We’re very grateful to Naomi for the work and impact she has had as our Director. NPP has developed into a sector-leading organisation under Naomi’s leadership and the Board and I are grateful for all she has done for us and the National Parks – she leaves an incredible legacy and firm foundations for our future growth. For an incoming Chief Executive, this is a brilliant opportunity to take NPP to the next level. In a time when the stakes are so high for UK nature and climate, this is a chance for someone to deliver real impact.’

Naomi Conway says ’I’m immensely proud of what we’ve achieved as an NPP team since 2016. It’s been inspiring to be part of the National Parks family and a privilege to create purpose-driven partnerships to support them. I’ll be sad to leave such a brilliant NPP team but with some amazing things in the pipeline, I know they’ll be going from strength to strength.’
