The fifteen UK National Parks cover c.10% of the land of Great Britain and are enjoyed by millions every year – places to walk, spot wildlife and recharge. But these living, working landscapes also have a huge role to play in reviving nature, boosting biodiversity and tackling climate change.

The need to restore nature is urgent – the UK is one of the world’s most nature-depleted countries in the world, in the bottom 10% globally*. UK woodland cover is just 13% (2022) and 38% of UK species are declining in abundance**.  Nature needs to be preserved not only for its beauty but the vital ecosystems services it provides – from carbon removal, to pollination, water cleansing and flood prevention. If we do not reverse its decline, it is estimated that nature degradation could cause a 12% loss to UK GDP in coming years***. National Parks are ideally placed to turn the tide.

We need your help to restore nature and biodiversity.

National Parks Partnerships have collated a programme of projects across the UK dedicated to preserving and bringing back nature.

The programme aims to:

  • Restore peatland
  • Create new woodlands, temperate rainforests and ponds
  • Improve waterways and water quality
  • Protect the amazing species that live within them, such as Beavers, Red Squirrels, Nightingales, Hen Harriers, Curlews, Swallowtail butterflies and so many more.

Each of our National Parks is home to thousands of species, many endangered, with some Parks having over 10,000 species on record.

We specialise in creating bespoke, at-scale partnerships designed to align with businesses ESG strategies  and are looking for new corporate partners to support us on this nature restoration programme .
